Job Description

Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit highly motivated and committed employees for the positions of Operator – 100t Haul Units to join the versatile mining team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Supervisor - Production, you will be responsible for carrying out all duties associated with Operator – 100t Haul Units operations in mining department.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: 

Conduct pre-start checks of the Machine before commencing work

Hauling material to designated dump sites and/ or crusher. 

Maintain acceptable fuel levels of the machine in each shift.

Work under the supervision of shift supervisors to maintain site safety standards

Report defects, breakdowns, or maintenance equipment and operational areas.

Support other mining activities as directed by the supervisor.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

Grade twelve (12) certificate.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Must be certified to operator – 100t Haul Units.

Must have sound Knowledge of safe working procedures and mine operations.

Must be able to pass Psychometric/ Dover Tests.

Certificates of service in the same role will be an added advantage.
