We are a reputable law firm based in Lusaka committed to delivering professional legal services. We are looking for a reliable, organized, and diligent office assistant to join our team.
Position Summary
The office assistant will provide administrative and logistical support to the firm. This role involves filing court documents, serving letters, driving, and running general errands to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Court & Legal Filing: File court documents, pleadings, and correspondences at various courts and registries. Ensure proper record-keeping and tracking of filings.
- Service of Documents: Serve letters, summons, notices, and other legal documents to clients, institutions, and other parties in a timely and professional manner.
Driving: Safely drive firm vehicles to deliver documents, attend court, and run official errands around Lusaka and other locations as required.
- Errands & Support: Collect and deliver mail, parcels, and documents. Purchase office supplies and assist with general office administration.
Record Keeping*: Maintain a log of all documents served, filed, and errands completed.
General Office Duties: Assist with photocopying, scanning, binding, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate
Valid Zambian Driver’s License - Clean driving record with traceable references and driving experience of not less than 3 years.
Previous experience in an office, legal, or courier environment will be an added advantage
Familiarity with Lusaka courts, government offices, and routes is preferred
Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Honest, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information with discretion
- Physically fit and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Basic computer skills will be an advantage

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
