DUAL POSITION - SECURITY GUARD AND SCHOOL DRIVER

Position: Security Guard & Driver

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: Lusaka, Zambia (Lusaka West Mungwi Road L85 Barrack)

Reports to: Administrative Assistant

Security Guard and Driver - Dual Position

🏫 School Environment: Aquinas Schools Ltd is a private school situated in Lusaka West Mungwi Road L85 Barrack. The school is seeking disciplined, vigilant, and reliable Security Officers to join our school.

Position Objective:

The successful candidates will play a critical role in safeguarding school premises, assets, and personnel while upholding the company's values of professionalism, integrity, and excellence.

Security Guard Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and secure the school premises through regular checks and observation
  • Control access and verify identification of staff, visitors, and vehicles at school
  • Maintain accurate occurrence books (OB) and incident reports
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches swiftly and effectively
  • Provide customer service by assisting clients, staff, and visitors where needed
  • Work collaboratively with team members and report directly to the Administrative Assistant

Security Guard Qualifications & Requirements:

⚠️ GENDER REQUIREMENT: Male candidates (as per operational requirement)

  • Must be physically fit and medically cleared for duty
  • Minimum Grade 9 certificate
  • Valid NRC and registered mobile phone for communication
  • Previous security experience is an added advantage
  • Strong observation, communication, and reporting skills
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Must reside along Great East Road, Mumbwa Road, or Kafue Road for ease of access

School Driver Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of some mechanics
  • Able to drive a school bus
  • Ensure timely delivery of all children
  • Inspect vehicle before and after trips, logging and reporting mechanical problems
  • Plan travel routes in accordance with applicable traffic laws, regulations, standards and guidelines
  • Planning dairy deliveries, conducting extended or overnight trips when required
  • Demonstrated ability to deal peacefully with unforeseen circumstances or delays and use advanced driving techniques to better improve time management and safety
  • Sober mind
  • Any other duty assigned to him/her

School Driver Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Grade 9 or 12 School leaver
  • Knowledge of mechanics an added advantage
  • Able to read and write

🚌 Note: This is a combined position - candidates must be willing and able to perform both security guard and driver duties.
