Gardener ▼

Department: Maintenance
Reporting: Head of Maintenance
Location: Livingstone

Job Purpose: Maintain clean, healthy, and visually appealing outdoor spaces, ensuring lawns, gardens, pathways, and landscaped areas are well cared for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and grow garden areas
• Perform basic maintenance: cutting grass, emptying bins, weed control, leaf raking
• Plant and nurture trees, flowers, and plants
• Operate hand tools and light machinery (plant vehicles, small diggers)
• Maintain cleanliness: remove rubbish and litter
• Advise management on garden costs and provide written reports/quotations
• Ensure safety for staff and clients according to health regulations

Qualifications:

• Full Grade 12 certificate
• Certification in Landscaping or Gardening (advantageous)
• 2-3 years experience managing gardens in large areas

Kitchen Hand ▼

Department: Kitchen
Reporting: Head Chef
Location: Livingstone

Job Purpose: Support the kitchen team with cleanliness, basic food preparation, and hygiene standards, ensuring smooth back-of-house operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean utensils, cutlery, crockery
• Clean ovens, fryers, mixers, fridges, freezers
• Maintain clean kitchen floors
• Dispose of garbage, keep bins clean
• Deep cleaning and disinfection per schedule
• Follow daily kitchen checklist
• Proper storage/handling of chemicals
• Assist in junior staff meal prep
• Perform duties as instructed by Head Chef
• Adhere to safety & hygiene policies
• Practice clean-as-you-go procedure

Qualifications:

• Full Grade 12 certificate
• 2+ years in hospitality industry
• Knowledge of food hygiene & safety practices
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment & cleaning procedures
