About the Opportunity

Mooto College of Business invites applications from qualified Zambian researchers to contribute to college-led research projects addressing critical social issues across Zambia. These projects aim to produce policy-relevant, context-specific evidence aligned with national development priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a competitive research proposal and implementation plan.
  • Lead data collection, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Coordinate a small research team and ensure compliance with research ethics.
  • Produce a final research report, policy brief, and publishable manuscript.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be a Zambian citizen currently residing in Zambia.
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Education, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated research experience (focus on literacy/numeracy preferred).
  • Strong research design and data analysis skills (e.g., SPSS, NVivo).
  • Excellent academic writing, communication, and teamwork skills.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 24 months
  • Engagement: Part-time consultancy
  • Remuneration: Performance-based pay up to ZMW 10,000/month
