Job Title: Head Chef

Location: Unilus, Silverest

Job Type: Full-time

Reports to: Director of Operation

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Head Chef to oversee the planning, organization, and management of our kitchen operations. The successful candidate will oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of meals in the Kitchen and supervision of Staff in the general production of food.

Key Responsibilities:

•Supervise kitchen staff and ensure high-quality food preparation.

• Monitor recipes and follow projected consumption of ingredients match with actual consumption.

•Plan and execute menus, considering food costs and inventory management.

•Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.

•Oversee food presentation, portioning, taste, and freshness.

•Monitor and control labor and food costs.

•Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

•Manage and maintain kitchen equipment.

•Create menus and determine food inventory needs.

Requirements:

•Grade 12 Certificate.

•Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent.

•Minimum 3 years of experience as a Head Chef.

•Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

•Ability to use modern kitchen equipment.

•Physically fit and able to pass pre-employment medical examinations.

•Creative with food production and presentation.

•Strong knowledge of food costing and control principles.

•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

•Experience managing a diverse team

•Knowledge of various cuisines

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
