That Interview Could Be a Scam – Don’t Walk In Blind!
In today’s job market, not everything is what it seems. That “interview” you’re rushing to could be a setup, not an opportunity. Yes—read that again.
🚨 Scammers have upgraded. They're no longer just sending shady emails or fake job ads. Some are now hosting full-blown fake interviews—just to use you, scam you, or sell to you.
I came across a jaw-dropping post on X (formerly Twitter) that made me stop and think—and now I’m sharing it with you.

💼 Here’s What Happened…
A guy went viral after confessing he made $300 in one day—not from a side hustle, not from a job, but from fake interviews.
Yes, you read that right. FAKE interviews.
He’d set up a so-called “interview room,” complete with snacks and drinks. During the “interview,” he'd casually encourage attendees to buy something—snacks, drinks, whatever. Most would give in—either out of pressure or politeness.
The twist?
There was never any job.
Just like that, he’d make thousands over time—while job seekers went home broke, tired, and disappointed.
And that’s just one scam.
Others go further—asking for:
💸 “Registration” or “training” fees
🧾 Your NRC, CV, or bank info
🪪 Sensitive data that could be used for fraud
⚠️ Before You Attend Any Interview, Protect Yourself:
1️⃣ Google the company – legit businesses leave a digital footprint.
2️⃣ Check their website & social media – Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Maps reviews.
3️⃣ Ask yourself: “Why are they asking me for money?”
4️⃣ NEVER pay to get a job – if it’s not a bribe (👀), it’s a scam.
💡 Street Smart Tip:
In today’s world, being desperate can make you a target. So move smart. Not every job ad is real. Not every interviewer has good intentions.
Stay sharp. Stay woke. Stay employed (safely).
Because in these streets, if you’re not careful—they won’t just break your heart. They’ll break your bank.
