Truck Drivers at Kabwe Municipal Council

KABWE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL

INVITATION FOR JOB APPLICATIONS

The Council wishes to recruit and appoint suitably qualified persons as Truck Drivers on permanent and pensionable service under the Human Resource and Administration Department.


Qualifications

- In possession of at least Grade Nine (9) School Certificate or better

- A Zambian national with Green National Registration Card

- Valid Driver's License (Class C1, C, CE and D)

- At least two (2) years' work experience with traceable or verifiable references.


Personal Attributes

- Aged between 24 and 45 years

- Good interpersonal and communication skills

- Sober minded and high integrity

- Ability to work long hours with minimum supervision

- Self-driven, motivated and innovative


Main Duties

- Driving safely and regularly the staff on official business in order to facilitate attendance to duties

- Completion of vehicle log book in order to enhance accountability of journeys or trips undertaken;

- Undertaking regularly, basic vehicle inspection in order to ascertain its road worthiness; and

- Any other duty as may be assigned by the transport officer from time to time
