Huachen International Supply Chain limited located in Ndola-copperbelt province is currently seeking to employ a Recruitment specialist, Assistant Human Resource Officer, Human Resource Intern, Health and safety officer and Chinese Interpreter to add value to our growing team.


1. ASSISTANT HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER (X1)


Reports to: Human Resource Manager

Department: Human Resource

Location: Ndola Office


JOB PURPOSE


To provide support and guidance on individual employee relations case, manage and meet the requirements of company policies, best practice and employment legislations.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Ensure that managers and staff are aware of the policies and procedures and are able to operate them efficiently.

maintaining an up to date company structure. All positions in the company should have job description and specifications.

Support the organisation with recruitment of staff and talent retention thereafter; and also separation with old employees

Monitor and review the system of performance appraisals and continually develop as necessary, ensuring that annual appraisals are carried out in a timely manner and follow up.

Making recommendations to line managers and employees on areas for improvement.

Support the organisation in handling of disciplinary and grievance issues in liaison with HR manager.

Ensure fair and timely resolutions of all cases in line with procedure.

Maintain Human Resource records as required i.e accurate and up to date employee files.

Assist line managers with coming up with training and development calendars for their employees.

Ensure time and attendance for employees is working well.

Monitor sickness and absence levels and provide monthly statistics if required in areas of concern.

Preparation of Monthly accurate payroll inputs by standard cut off dates.

Be a champion of fostering company culture and promoting diversity and inclusion

Preparation of HR monthly reports and submit to HR manager by month end.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS


Understands employment code 2019 and other labour laws

Minimum of 3 years work experience as HR

Grade 12 school certificate

Minimum of Diploma in Human resources management

Paid up member of ZIHRM

Ability to make decisions and initiate action

Ability to adhere to principles and values

Ability to relate and network

Ability to persuade and influence others

Ability to plan and organize


2. RECRUITMENT SEPECIALIST (X1)


Reports to: ASSISTANT HUMAN OFFICER

Department: Human Resource

Location: Ndola Office


RESPSONSIBILITIES


Consulting line managers on hiring needs

Formulating job adverts

Shortlist, Interviewing and vetting them for the position

Doing background checks and calling applicant’s referees

Explaining the benefits, company policies and parameters of the job to applicants

Hiring the most qualified applicant

On-boarding new hires and assisting with orientation

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS


Understands employment code 2019 and other labour laws

Grade 12 school certificate

Minimum of 3 years work experience as an HR

Minimum of Diploma in Human resources management

Paid up member of ZIHRM

Must be computer literate

Ability to make decisions and initiate action

Ability to adhere to principles and values

Ability to relate and network

Must below 30 years old

A resident of Ndola will be an added advantage

3. HEALTH AND SAFEY OFFICER


RESPONSIBILITIES


Implement and monitor environmental management plans in alignment with the Huache Performance Standards on Environmental and Social & World Bank Environmental and social framework and other applicable standards.

Conduct environmental and social impact assessments.

Conduct environmental and Social internal audits.

Conduct environmental awareness among employees.

Report and investigate incidents in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Ensure adherence to national environmental laws and regulations.

Advise management on initiatives aimed at environmental conservation and resource efficiency.

Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.

Facilitate risk assessment on routine and non-routine jobs.

Conduct training on safety, and emergency response plans.

Report and investigate incidents and accidents, recommending corrective actions.

Conduct site inductions for employees and contractors as well as other stakeholders.

Ensure personal protective equipment (such as hearing protection, dust masks, safety glasses) are issued and available as needed and inspected on a regular basis.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with local communities.

Facilitate communication between the plant and the community.

Address community concerns and feedback effectively.

Support community development initiatives aligned with Huachen.

Ensure external grievance mechanism is in place and communicated to all relevant stakeholders around the project sites.

Develop and maintain a stakeholder engagement strategy and ensure execution of the strategy.

Undertake effective monitoring and evaluation of the livelihood Restoration Plan/Resettlement Action Plan arising from Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA).

Stay abreast of changes in national environmental, safety, and social regulations.

Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Ensure compliance with ZEMA decision letter conditions for all projects.

Prepare reports for regulatory authorities as required.

Ensure E&S compliance during project implementations.

Ensure that alcohol screening and confirmation tests at entrance to Company facilities are carried out on employees, contractors, and visitors.

Monitoring performance of the portable and installed alcohol compliance and monitoring equipment.

Contribute to the development of social-economic plans for the plant.

Collaborate with local stakeholders to identify social-economic opportunities.

Monitor and assess the socio-economic impact of plant activities.

Provide professional environmental and social skills and support the cross functional, multi-discipline teams in the preparation of tender documents and evaluation of bids.

Contribute to budget development process and ensure that costs are within the prescribed budget.

Plan and control HSES budget.

Ensure that all operational and project works involving are carried out in accordance with stipulated HSES and statutory regulations with particular attention to safety of personnel, the community and environmental protection.

Compile and maintain record of all processes, work activities and significant events and milestones for record purposes.

Compile and submit HSES performance reports to various stakeholders at determined intervals.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS


Grade 12 School Certificate.

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety or a related field.

Professional certification in HSE management systems (e.g. NEBOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).

Familiar with Equator Principles, World Bank Environmental and Social Guidelines, National Environmental, Safety and Social Regulations.

5 years of combined practical experience in planning, monitoring, evaluation and management of environmental and social performance indicators.

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the renewable energy or utility sector.

Demonstrated knowledge of HSES management systems and best practices.

Experience in community engagement and social-economic planning.

Strong writing skills and ability to deliver organized and complete reports /presentations.

Must be computer literate with competence in basic computer skills.

Strong organization and interpersonal skills used to establish, develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with stakeholders.

Sound business acumen with ability to anticipate and interpret changes impacting on environment and social programs and approaches.


4. HUMAN RESOURCE INTERN(X1)


RESPONSIBILITIES


Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms

Gather payroll data like leaves, working hours and bank accounts

Screen resumes and application forms

Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates

Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages and social networks

Prepare HR-related reports as needed (like training budgets by department)

Address employee queries about benefits (like number of remaining vacation days)

Review and distribute company policies in digital formats or hard copies

Participate in organizing company events and careers days

REQUIREMENT AND SKILLS


Experience as a Staff Assistant or similar junior HR role is a plus

Familiarity with HRIS, ATS and resume databases

Experience with MS Office

Good understanding of full-cycle recruiting

Basic knowledge of labour legislation

Organizational skills

A graduate of Human Resources Management.


5. CHINESE INTERPRETER (X1)


RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS


Provide accurate interpretation between Chinese and English languages during meetings, conferences, and other business-related events.

Assist in translating written documents, such as emails, reports, and presentations, from Chinese to English and vice versa.

Conduct research and gather information to ensure accurate understanding and interpretation of technical terms and industry-specific jargon.

Act as a cultural liaison, helping to bridge the communication gap between Chinese and English-speaking colleagues and clients.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive information and discussions.

Collaborate with other interpreters and translators to ensure consistent and accurate interpretation across different languages.

Stay updated with industry trends, news, and developments in both Chinese and English-speaking markets.

Assist in organizing and coordinating business trips, including making travel arrangements and providing interpretation support during international visits.

Provide language support during negotiations, contract signings, and other business-related activities.

Continuously improve language skills and cultural knowledge through professional development opportunities and self-study

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS


Grade 12 school certificate

Able to speak and write good English

Able to speak good Chinese
