Luano Town Council invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions:
1.0 JOB TITLE: DRIVER - (2)
SALARY SCALE: D3
DEPARTMENT:HUMAN RESOURCE AND ADMINISTRATION
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PERMANENT
Job Purpose
The job holder will be required to drive Council vehicles in order to facilitate mobility of officers, materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
a) To drive safely and regularly, staff on official Council business in order to maintain attendance to duties
b) To drive Council fleet to various parts in order to facilitate decision making
c) To prepare reports, log books in order to enhance accountability of movements
d) To undertake regularly, basic vehicle inspection in order to ascertain fit and road worthiness
e) To undertake motor vehicle servicing and minor repairs works and ensure that the vehicles are kept in good condition
f) To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time
Qualifications and Skills Requirements
a) Minimum of a Full Grade 12 School Certificate
b) Possession of a minimum of Class C valid SADC Driving License
c) Must be a Zambian Citizen with holder of a Green National Registration Card
d) Must have a minimum of 2 years commercial driving experience

Additional Requirements (continued from Driver position)
g) Must be 25 years old and above but not older than 45 years old
h) Must be flexible to work outside normal working hours
i) Able to write reports
j) Must have reception and interpersonal skill
k) High level of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness
l) Ability to work long hours and in challenging terrains
m) Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
n) Must have a sound knowledge of road traffic regulations
o) These skills Mechanical skills will be treated as added advantage
p) Knowledge in use of computers and office equipment will be treated as added advantage
2.0 JOB TITLE: REVENUE COLLECTOR - (3)
SALARY SCALE:LOS2018
DEPARTMENT: FINANCE
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PERMANENT
Job Purpose
The job holder will be required to undertake the collection of all revenues due to the Council in order to finance its operations.
Key Responsibilities
a) To undertake effectively and efficiently the collection of all revenues due to the Council in order to finance Council's operations
b) To prepare various revenue collection returns with quality or accountable documents under the job holder's mandate in order to collect revenue due to the Council and ensure transparent access thereof
c) To maintain and update revenue data and adherence of accounting records in order to facilitate storage and retrieval of financial and accounting information
d) To maintain and manage effectively the implementation of performance management system in order to improve and sustain performance in the section
Qualifications and Skills Requirements
a) Minimum of a Full Grade 12 School Certificate
b) Must be a Zambian Citizen with holder of a Green National Registration Card
c) Qualifications in Basic Accounting
d) Must have Computer Literacy
e) Must possess excellent writing skills
f) Must possess oral communication skills
